These can have an almost immediate effect on website traffic and sales if applied correctly. What works well for one business may have different results for another e.g. Google adwords. If you are in a saturated market with Google adwords then you can pay premium price for high advert positioning.
Free methods include organic growth in the search engines, website newsletters, word of mouth, viral marketing, repeat business and more. These tend to take longer than paid for methods and need more planning but costs are negligible and results can be just as effective, if not more so, than paid for marketing.
